Beginning ESL Literacy & Low Beginning ESL

  • Description: For beginning English language learners with limited English skills. Students will learn basic vocabulary, the alphabet, and develop listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills. Focus on practical vocabulary, question words, understanding questions, and real-life conversation skills in the present tense. Students will improve communication for social and work situations and build a foundation for higher ESL levels.

High Beginning ESL / Low Intermediate ESL

  • Description: Students practice listening, speaking, reading, writing, and grammar to improve communication in social and work settings. Students engage in practical scenarios such as work, health, housing, and describing past experiences and future goals.

High Intermediate ESL/ Advanced ESL 

  • Description: Active and contextualized learning with a focus on life skills and career pathways. Topics include vocational and educational goals, shopping, health, jobs, and community. Students will improve grammar, vocabulary, reading, writing, speaking, and listening skills. 

  •  Students master reading, writing, speaking, and listening at the highest ESL level. Focus on creating three-paragraph essays, presenting complex information, and analyzing reading passages. Prepares students for GED, High School Diploma, or Career Pathways.Class:

Advanced ESL

 

  • Description: Students master reading, writing, speaking, and listening at the highest ESL level. Focus on creating three-paragraph essays, presenting complex information, and analyzing reading passages. Prepares students for GED, High School Diploma, or Career Pathways.
