FREE High School Diploma Program for Adults
 

Credits/Units: 5 units per class
Eligibility: Adults who have earned at least 80 high school credits

 

Program Overview / Purpose

This program provides adult learners the opportunity to earn a High School Diploma using the Acellus online curriculum, which customizes lessons to each student’s strengths and areas for improvement. Students receive 24/7 access to online lessons, but this is not an online-only program. Direct instruction, workshops, and one-on-one support are provided to ensure students stay on track and succeed.

 

Students must complete a total of 170 credits, fulfilling A-G high school requirements in:

  • English

  • Social Science

  • Math

  • Science

  • Fine Arts

  • Foreign Language

  • Electives


Course Goals

  1. Enable adult learners to complete remaining high school credits and earn a diploma.

  2. Strengthen academic skills across core subjects to meet a-g requirements.

  3. Foster independent, self-paced learning while providing structured support.

  4. Prepare students for post-secondary education, vocational training, or career advancement.


Performance Objectives

By the end of each course session, students will be able to:

  1. Demonstrate mastery of key subject areas through online lessons and exams.

  2. Complete at least 15 hours of study per week, including 3 hours in the on-campus lab.

  3. Successfully use the Acellus platform to track progress and identify areas for improvement.

  4. Engage in workshops and tutoring sessions to address learning gaps.

  5. Apply knowledge from coursework to real-world or academic scenarios in preparation for graduation.
